Michael Kibwe Harris is one of the main protagonists in The Quest for Beasts, the two movies Rise of Babylon and Hunt for the Lost Eden, as well as the live-action movie, as well as the numerous video game spinoffs. He is voiced by Phil LaMarr throughout the series, video games and two movies; in Rise of Babylon, his singing voice is provided by R&B artist Usher. In the live-action movie, he is portrayed by Leon Thomas III, and he also makes appearances in The Quest for Beasts: A New Generation, in which he is voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson. His voice when he is young is provided by Cree Summer.

Biography[]

Michael was born in the 1980s to Jon Harris and Deanna Harris (nee Tupele), both a pair of biologists and anthropologists who had immigrated to the United States from Kenya, Africa (his parents were born in Mombasa). He has an older sister called Katie. At some point, Michael developed the power of telekinesis, and in his teens, he befriended Daniel Cypher, Sonya Matthews, Ethan Burns and Juliana Marquez, and they would later go on to travel the world, protecting the beasts and fighting against evil.

Appearance and personality[]

Michael is a black youth with dark hair styled into a flattop. He generally sports a red T-shirt with a white stripe across it, beige shorts and black sneakers. At the end of the series finale, in Sonya's vision, he is now more muscular, sports a camo jacket and black shirt, beige pants and marching boots, and his hair is now styled into cornrows, which is retained in A New Generation. Michael is a jovial, kind and witty individual. He also appears to be an avid fan of sports, particularly basketball.
