Howard Grant was a mercenary hired by Lawrence Gardner to test Lily Maneta for the Gardener virus.
Before Day 1[]
Howard and his associate met with Lawrence Gardner in Allen Park, where they received their ordered. The returned the next day, but Gardner had already left. Howard met up with Gardner's techs later that day.
Day 1[]
Howard arrived at the Maneta house in order to forcefully test Lily Maneta for the Gardner virus. Not expecting to see CTU there, Andy McDermott easily got the jump on him. Howard admitted to being employed by Gardner before realizing that the techs outside had left.
Howard and his associate agreed to let Andy, Mary Baxter, and Lily ride with them back to Lawrence's old office.
