Seto Kaiba (DF)

Seto Kaiba

Seto Kaiba is one of the few pre-existing Yu-Gi-Oh! characters to appear in Legendhiro's Yu-Gi-Oh! DF. This version of Kaiba is roughly eight years older than he was in his last appearance in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime, though he doesn't appear any different.

Story

Kaiba appears in DF more often than any of the three main Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters "core three". He first appears in the fifth story arch; Kaiba Corp Invitational Tournament. He duels and defeats Duel Force member Jen. He then goes on to face Yugi Muto in the following round and is defeated "off screen". Kaiba returns in the sixth story arch; The Great Duel Force Tournament. At the end of the arch, he invites DF main character John to attend the newly completed Duel Academy as a means of getting American Duelists interested in the school.

Finally, it has been revealed that the author has plans for Kaiba to appear in the seventh story arch, Their Most Dangerous Enemy, where he will duel his protege, Lawrence.

Trivia

• Kaiba is the only Takahashi Sensei original character to eliminate a Legendhiro original character from the Second Kaiba Corporation Grand Championship.
• Kaiba will duel again, against his student Lawrence, in the upcoming seventh book in the DF series.
